The Journey Plan

  • Upon arrival you will be warmly received with the Khadar Ceremony by the tour guide and driver.
  • Embark on a scenic drive from Paro to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours.
  • Make a stop at Tamchog Lhakhang, a picturesque temple built by the famous iron bridge builder, Thangthong Gyalpo.
  • Check into a comfortable hotel and have lunch.
  • Once settled, you can enjoy a leisurely evening exploring the city. Thimphu is a fascinating blend of tradition and modernity, with vibrant markets, beautiful monasteries, and cultural landmarks.

  • Start the day with a visit to the iconic Buddha Dordenma Statue, and Memorial Chorten.
  • Visit Simply Bhutan, get an opportunity to try on the Bhutanese National Dress, play games and have lunch there.
  • After lunch travel to Punakha which is about 2.5 hour drive from Thimphu.
  • Stop over for tea break at Dochula Pass which offers stunning panoramic views of the Himalayas and is known for its 108 memorial stupas.
  • Resume the journey to Punakha.
  • Check-in the hotel and take a rest

  • In the morning after breakfast visit to the majestic Punakha Dzong, also known as the "Palace of Great Happiness
  • Next visit the most famous suspension bridge which is 10 minute walk from the Punakha Dzong and head to Chimmi Lhakhang popularly known as “Fertility Temple”, which gives blessing of child to those families with no child.
  • Break for lunch and next get ready to experience the thrilling river rafting on the Mo Chhu River OR enjoy the hot stone medicinal bath to refresh the heavy body.

  • Early morning start your journey to Paro from Punakha.
  • Upon arrival take a short break and continue with the sightseeing.
  • First visit Paro Rinpung Dzong and National Museum.
  • Have a hearty meal and visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong which is also listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Early breakfast will be served at the hotel, followed by a drive to the airport to catch the flight to your next destination.
  • Finally, you will board your flight and bid farewell to Bhutan. Safe Travels!
