The Journey Plan

- Arrive at Paro International Airport, meet your guide, and drive to Thimphu (approx. 1.5 hours).
- Visit National Memorial Chorten, a peaceful spot where locals pray and circumambulate.
- Evening stroll through Thimphu town : explore local shops and cafes.
- Overnight in Thimphu.

- Visit the Buddha Dordenma statue overlooking the valley.
- Explore Folk Heritage Museum and Zorig Chusum (arts & crafts school).
- See Bhutan’s unique national animal, the Takin, at the wildlife preserve.
- Walk the gentle Wangditse Nature Trail for views of Tashichho Dzong.
- Browse Centenary Farmers’ Market (open Thu–Sun).
- Overnight in Thimphu.

- Drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3,100m) - stop for photos of the 108 chortens and Himalayan views.
- Hike through rice fields to Chimi Lhakhang (fertility temple).
- Visit majestic Punakha Dzong at the rivers’ confluence.
- Cross the scenic Suspension Bridge nearby.
- Overnight in Punakha.

- The hike takes 4 - 6 hours round-trip, with stops at viewpoints and a cafeteria.
